The Characters and their Descriptions
THE GODFATHER PART 2 (1974)

MICHAEL CORLEONE (AL PACINO)
The picture above is Michael Corleone. In the Godfather Part 2, he and his wife Kay have had another child, Mary. They have moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Michael now owns 3 casinos and forcefully takes over another casino from a man named Klingman. An assassination attempt is taken out on Michael but fails in the beginning of the film and Michael finds out Fredo (his older brother) was doing business with those responsible and orders his death.

TOM HAGEN (ROBERT DUVALL)
Robert Duvall returns as Tom Hagen...Michael's consigliere. In the film, Tom becomes temporary boss after Michael's failed assassination attempt.

KAY CORLEONE (DIANE KEATON) (TOP RIGHT)
Kay is pregnant with a baby boy in the film. She becomes more disgusted with Michael's criminal business and in order to destroy the future of the crime family, she has an abortion. Thus killing the next Corleone boss. Michael was told by Tom that it was a miscarriage. She wanted to divorce Michael and take the children, but before she did so, she told the truth about the loss of the baby....Michael slapped her for her wrongdoing.

YOUNG VITO CORLEONE (ROBERT DE NIRO)
Robert De Niro plays Vito Corleone when he was in his late twenties. In this part of Vito's life, he started out delivering groceries for the Abbandando Groceria (owned by Signor Abbandando, Genco's father). Later on, Vito kills a member of the Black Hand named Don Fanucci. After that, Vito established the Genco Olive Oil company and later went back to Sicily to settle the vendetta of his family's murder.

FREDO CORLEONE (JOHN CAZALE)
Fredo (left) is now married to an Academy Award winning actress named Dianna Dunn. However, she gets drunk often and gets divorced from Fredo by the end of the film. Fredo does business with Hyman Roth in hopes to benefit for himself. However, Roth used Fredo in order to carry out what was to be a failed assassination attepmt. Fredo covered up his involvement until the end. Michael ordered his older brother's death for his betrayal.
CONNIE CORLEONE (TALIA SHIRE)
Connie has just gotten divorced from an unknown man and enters the film late to Anthony's communion party with another boyfriend named Merle Johnson (Troy Donahue) whom she hopes to marry. She she's her children on weekends and Michael disapproves of her new boyfriend. They break up by the end of the film and Connie and Michael patch up their old wounds between them.

HYMAN ROTH (LEE STRASBERG)
Hyman Roth (left), syndicate boss and financial genius is shown here talking with Michael. Roth has an uneasy relationship with Michael at first. Roth orders Michael's death in his home, but that failed. Michael ordered Roth's death in a Havana hospital, but that also failed. Roth laid low until he was arrested and brought back to Miami. He was shot to death by Rocco Lampone in a Miami airport.

FRANK PENTANGELI (MICHAEL V. GAZZO)
Frank Pentageli was loyal to Vito Corleone for many years and trusted Michael until Roth ordered the Rosatos to kill him. Tony Rosato was stragling him with a garrote and said to Pentageli, "Michael Corleone says 'hello'". A police officer came in to interrupt the hit.Frank was arrested when he was found half dead. He testified in front of a grand jury to all the murders and crimes Michael ordered him to do. This was due to the fact that he thought Michael set him up. Michael told him to make the peace with the Rosatos and then one of the Rosatos mentioned Michael's name. Frank put two-and-two together. However, it was Roth who was responsible.
SENATOR PAT GEARY (G.D. SPRADLIN)
Nevada Senator Pat Geary seemed to like Michael at Anthony's communion pary. However, when they went inside to do business, it was another story. Pat said he would be more frank with Michael than anybody else in his position usually is. That was an understatement. After Geary bombarded Michael with insults, he began his business. Pat knew that Michael already owned 2 casinos. He also knew that Michael was trying to attain ownership of another casino owned by a man named Klingman. Geary told Michael that the license would still be in Klingman's name. He allowed Michael to have the license...however for a much higher price than the usual \\$20,000. Geary demanded $250,000 for the license plus a monthly payment to him of 5% of the gross earnings of ALL 4 HOTELS.Michael calmly gave Geary his answer, "nothing...not even the fee for the gaming license. Which I would appreciate if you would put up personally." Geary was a regular customer at a whore house run by Michael's brother Fredo. So Michael ordered Al Neri to knock Geary out and kill the whore Geary was with. It was done and to avoid being blackmailed, Geary didn't give Michael anymore trouble!
AL NERI (RICHARD BRIGHT)
Al Neri is Michael's trusted right-hand-man. Michael orders Neri to kill his brother Fredo at the end of the film.

DON FANUCCI (GASTONE MOSCHIN)
Don Fanucci is a member of the dreaded Black Hand. He demands outrageous amounts of money from the hard-working businesses in Little Italy in the 1920's, including Abbandando Groceria. Fanucci gets what he deserves when he is killed in front of his apartment by Young Vito.

YOUNG CLEMENZA (B. KIRBY JR.)
Young Clemenza first meets young Vito when he throws rocks at Vito's window and asks him to his a bag of guns. Him and Vito become friends and begin stealing goods.

DON CICCIO (GIUSEPPE SILATTO)
Don Ciccio ordered the death of Vito's father Antonio Andolini in 1901 due to an insult. In order to prevent his heirs from taking revenge he ordered Vito's older brother Paolo be killed. Vito's mother pleaded with Ciccio to spare her only remaining son. He said no, she drew a knife, held it to Ciccio's neck and told her son to run. Ciccio broke free and one of Ciccio's goons blew Vito's mother away.Vito would evade Ciccio and move to America. He is shown over twenty years later in this picture. Vito slashed Ciccio's stomach with a hidden knife, settling the vendetta.

SIGNOR ROBERTO (LEOPOLDO TRIESTE)(Right)
This is Young Vito asking Signor Roberto, a landlord, to allow a friend of his (Vito's) wife to be allowed back into her apartment. Signor Roberto got enraged after a while, saying he would, "kick his Sicilian ass into the street". Vito calmly told him to ask his friends around about him. Roberto did so and returned to the Genco Olive Oil company. He was extremely appologetic and said Signora Colombo, Mrs. Corleone's friend, would be able to move back in with the same rent fee. Vito wasn't please and Roberto said he would lower it \\$5...Vito, still not pleased convinced Roberto to lower it $10. With the deal done, Vito offered Roberto a cup of coffe, but he was frightened and left.
